Cover Model Brooks Nader Reveals Favorite Swimsuit From Her SI Swim Photoshoot
SI Swimsuit issue cover girl Brooks Nader lived out her Baywatch dreams in a stunning red one-piece on the front of this year’s magazine. The five-time brand model, who made her debut in 2019 as the Swim Search open casting call winner, was photographed by James Macari in the Dominican Republic earlier this year for a fun, flirty and colorful Barbiecore-inspired photoshoot.
During Miami Swim Week in July, the Baton Rouge native revealed that the hot red scoop-neck, high-leg number was “obviously” her favorite from the collection of swimsuits.
“Shall I do the pose again? Let’s hit it,” she said jokingly during a Q&A-style game of Jenga with her sisters Sarah Jane, Mary Holland and Grace Ann Nader. “[My sisters] are so sick of me saying that because they have to stare at [the magazine cover] every day.”
Brooks is the oldest of the four women, who all live in New York City.
“Empowerment for me is putting myself out there, and I’ve dealt with rejection a million times over,” Nader shared of her industry experience. “Dealing with rejection, moving on and keeping a positive attitude about it, and then it’s so much more worth it and empowering when you get the final yes. I’ve grown so much over the years, [with SI Swimsuit].”
In May, the SI Swimsuit team surprised the model with the cover news just before the issue hit newsstands—watch the adorable moment here.
“Congratulations, Brooks, on your cover because you have come from our Swim Search world and you have stuck with us and you have hustled and you have worked so hard. You have represented this brand with every ounce of your soul,” SI Swimsuit editor in chief MJ Day said in a speech at the New York Stock Exchange. ”These women take a lot of the world’s weight on their shoulders when they choose to do this and when they end up on the cover. They’re not only beautiful and brilliant, but they’re also very brave.”
