Meet Kate Upton's newest suitor ... a green, furry mascot named Orbit
Kate Upton has become somewhat of a fixture on the baseball circuit this year, thanks to her relationship with Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander. It's no secret that plenty of baseball players are envious of Verlander and wish they had some more Kate in their lives. Most, however, don't go public with their desire for the former SI Swimsuit cover model. Then there's Orbit, mascot of the Houston Astros. During Saturday's Tigers-Astros game, Orbit went on Twitter and made his move.
The mascot's bold play for Upton didn't phase Verlander, who pitched one of his best games this year. Though you can't deny the two would make a great couple.
Then again, Verlander shouldn't rest easy. There's always someone trying to get his girl, even if he's a 12-year-old little leaguer.
