Katie Austin Shares an Adventurous BTS Photo From Her SI Swim Photoshoot in the Dominican Republic

The fitness influencer has had an eventful year, and it’s not over yet.

SI Swimsuit model Katie Austin has had an eventful year so far. Between traveling to the Dominican Republic for her third consecutive brand feature in February to getting engaged to her longtime boyfriend Lane Armstrong in April, the fitness influencer has been busy, to say the least.

The former Division I lacrosse player posted a TikTok slideshow over the weekend, featuring one highlight from each month of the year through October, and we were pleased to see that both her photoshoot and the issue launch event received a feature.

Her February throwback included a behind the scenes photo of the three-time SI Swimsuit model standing atop a palm tree branch, which extended out over the bright blue ocean. She wore a stunning vibrant purple triangle bikini and posed with her hand on her hip for photographer James Macari. The snapshot was definitely a little daring, but the final photo was worth all the trouble.

“February: my rookie of the year shoot for sports illustrated swimsuit,” she wrote alongside the BTS snap.

“Wow!! You really slayed this year,” friend and fellow SI Swimsuit model Christen Harper commented on the TikTok slideshow.

It has certainly been a big year for Austin so far, but it’s not quite over yet. We can’t wait to see what else 2023 has in store for her and will be here to cheer Austin on through it all.
