Throwback Thursday: Laetitia Casta

Kenya's an exhilarating place to be at any time, but it was especially so 15 years ago when Laetitia Casta brought her special brand of sexiness to the African plains. Shooting for the first of her three consecutive appearances in the Swimsuit Issue, the French beauty mingled (sort of) with bemused Kenyans while posing for sun-soaked shoots against an uncluttered horizon. The following year Casta appeared in her first film, Astérix et Obélix contre César, launching a French acting career that jumped stateside with her role in 2012's Arbitrage. In the video above, Casta riffs on the beauty of Africa and discusses how fascinating she found the Kenyans that she encountered. No doubt they felt the same.
