Inside Brooks Nader’s (Belated) Honeymoon in the Maldives
Brooks Nader is racking up some serious frequent flyer miles this summer. The SI Swimsuit model just walked the red carpet for the 2021 issue launch at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla, and has spent some family downtime in the Hamptons. But she also recently jetted off to the stunning Maldives to enjoy a belated honeymoon.
The 24-year-old said "I do" to William "Billy" Haire on Dec. 14, 2019. But plans for a honeymoon were cut short after the spread of COVID-19 caused the global shutdown. So the duo had to wait until the summer of 2021 to book the romantic trip finally, and, boy, was it epic. Luckily for us, Nader shared incredible photos along the way, revealing all the luxe details.
The couple stayed at a private beach villa at The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli for four nights before moving over to a jaw-dropping overwater villa for five nights. The duo took a dip in their private pool (where Nader shared a cheeky skinny-dipping photo), watched the sunrise over the sand in their bathrobes, and rode their bikes along with a series of overwater boardwalks during their stay. They also enjoyed a couple’s massage followed by a dip in the hydrotherapy pool that overlooked the ocean.
Nader gave a mini-tour on Instagram when the lovebirds moved to the overwater villa, revealing that the private home came complete with a gym and massage room. "This is insanity," she exclaimed while walking through the palatial hotel room. There were so many rooms in the villa that the couple decided to sleep in each to get the whole experience.
While the rooms alone were worthy of inducing some serious FOMO, Nader shared details of some of the over-the-top activities they tried. The pair enjoyed a private dinner on the beach, went on the hotel's yacht named "Norma" for a sunset ride, went snorkeling and tried a little fishing. The hotel staff even set up a floating breakfast in the couple's private pool and a private movie in the middle of the jungle.
"The yacht ride was amazing," Nader told SI Swimsuit. "We went around the Indian Ocean to a few of the different islands and then jet skied out to this deserted sand bar island. Also, the staff at The St. Regis was incredible. I cried my eyes out when I left.
"Unfortunately, our original honeymoon plans changed. But this ended up being even better. It was so worth the wait. Being able to travel across the world and explore a new place was something I forgot about and will never take for granted again."
