The model’s ensemble was incredibly sleek.

The Vanity Fair Oscars after-party was, of course, a star-studded affair. It brought all the best actors, models, athletes and general celebrities to the red carpet in their best dress. Among them was American model Lily Aldridge, who showed up in the most unique dress more than fit for a red carpet occasion.

The 38-year-old stepped out in front of the sea of photographers in a relatively simple black strapless A-line gown. The eye-catching detail came in the form of a series of feathers adorning the neckline. They stuck out of the top of the dress, adding some intrigue to the dark number. To that, Aldridge added a pair of diamond earrings and a silver bracelet. For glam, she opted for a minimal look, including a slicked-back up-do and black nail polish to match her black dress. It was sleek to say the least.

“Night out in @Prada for @VanityFair,” Aldridge wrote in an Instagram recap of the night. “Thank you Vanity Fair for the most fabulous night and Prada for my breathtaking gown.”

The Prada gown was, in fact, breathtaking. There’s no doubt about that. The beauty of the look, really, was in its relative simplicity, and the touch of character in the form of the feathers.

The statement-making look came as no surprise from the fashion model. She works in the industry, so of course she knows a thing or two about dressing her best for an occasion. We can’t wait to see where she brings her sleek style next.
