The athlete put her glamorous sense of style on display at this year’s New York Fashion Week.

Former professional alpine skier Lindsey Vonn made a statement at New York Fashion Week this September. The athlete attended several fashion shows and parties over the near two week event, and flaunted her good sense of style in the process.

For the Gabriela Hearst fashion show on Sept. 12, the 38-year-old sported the chicest off-the-shoulder black midi dress, featuring daring mesh paneling throughout. She paired the glamorous dress with white-and-black pointed heels and a black leather shoulder bag.

“Reminiscing about last week… it was such an honor to watch someone like @gabrielahearst create such an incredible show. Congrats GH! 👏🏻💪🏻❤️ #nyfw,” she captioned the series of photos from the event that she shared with her 2.2 million followers on Instagram on Sept. 18. Vonn sported her classic blonde hair in a messy up-do and wore a full face of makeup, including dark, moody eye makeup.

The stunning outfit got the attention and appreciation from the icon’s followers that it deserved.

“Fabulous dress LV! You're stunning!” one follower sweetly commented.

“So elegant 😊,” another added.

Vonn, who underwent another knee surgery during the summer, has been making the most of her downtime over the past few months. In addition to some adventurous trips out west, the former professional athlete spent a few weeks in New York and was seen attending both the US Open tennis tournament and various NYFW events.

And, though simple, her mesh-detailed black midi for the Gabriela Hearst show might have been our favorite of the looks she sported throughout the extended trip.
