Shay Mitchell Flaunts Toned Legs in Bright Red Figure-Hugging Gown With the Highest Side Slit

If it wasn’t clear already, the actress proved that red is really in this season.

The color of the season has overtaken the runways this fall, and we have to say, we’re not mad about it. The vibrant shades of red that we have seen strutting down the complementary red carpets throughout the season have made for some absolutely brilliant fashion moments.

Though it’s become common, we’re of the opinion that it could never be overdone. Even if every single person walked the same carpet in the stunning shade, we would still love it. After all, there are so many different ways to wear a good red outfit.

Actress Shay Mitchell knows this well. She opted for a red gown in her most recent glam moment in front of the the cameras, but she put her own spin on it, making it both unique and fabulous in one. Her floor-length dress for the 2023 CFDA Fashion Awards featured an off-the-shoulder neckline, figure-hugging and ruched fit throughout the bodice and an ultra-high side slit that perfectly framed her toned leg. She paired the look with a full-length red glove on just one arm and simple red high heels.

The number came from luxury brand Herve Leger, whose creative director, Michelle Ochs, accompanied Mitchell to the event.

“Thank you @ochsmichelle for the fun date to @cfda and congratulations to all the incredible designers and their teams 💃🏻,” she wrote in the caption of the Instagram carousel she posted from the night. She complemented her bright red dress with a slicked back up-do and a full face of glam, including a deep pink lip.

All of this is to say, red is certainly in, and we’re so glad it is.
