The first female Black athlete to be featured on an SI Swimsuit cover in 2021, Osaka has a long list of impressive athletic achievements. She was the first Asian player to hold the world No. 1 ranking in singles and the first Japanese player to win a Grand Slam tournament.

But her impact goes beyond her athletic feats. Osaka is a vocal activist and successful entrepreneur. She uses her platform to speak out against racial injustice, human rights violations and the importance of mental health. She’s collaborated with fashion brands such as Levi’s and Frankie’s Bikinis, and she’s also launched her own skin care line, KINLÒ, which specializes in producing sun-care products for melanin-rich skin. Her latest endeavor is a partnership with Victoria’s Secret, focused on creating sustainable, comfortable sleepwear and intimates that double as great maternity wear.
