The 5 Best Strappy Swimsuits Paige Spiranac Modeled in Aruba

When Paige Spiranac posed for the 2018 SI Swimsuit Issue, she was just 24 at the time and used the experience as an opportunity to bring awareness to cyberbullying. Today, the 30-year-old former Division I golfer is a thriving content creator who uses her platform to educate her fans on the ins and outs of the sport.

The Colorado native’s magazine feature was captured by photographer James Macari on the stunning beaches of Aruba. While on location, Spiranac modeled several incredible strappy swimwear looks, from bold bikinis to daring one-pieces with lots of cut-outs. 

At about this time last year, we caught up with Spiranac, who reflected fondly upon her SI Swimsuit feature. “I was going through a really hard time where I was still kind of new in social media and [was] transitioning from playing golf professionally to doing media full-time,” she said. 

She also referred to the feature as “incredibly empowering,” and noted that it was truly a “life-changing” moment in the trajectory of her career.

“Having MJ [Day, SI Swimsuit editor in chief] there to talk me through it the entire time and build me up, I’ve never been in an environment where I’ve had so many women empower me and lift me up, which is something that we preach all the time, but you don’t really see it in real life,” Spiranac said.
