Fitness influencer Katie Austin is used to being in front of the camera. She is the creator, videographer, editor and main talent of the Katie Austin App and empire, where she shares regular workout videos—of all types and intensities—with her subscribers and fans, in addition to healthy recipes and lifestyle tips.

She’s also an SI Swimsuit model, who has posed for breathtaking beach features three years in a row. The 30-year-old, who co-won the Swim Search open casting call in 2021, was photographed by Yu Tsai in Atlantic City that year, and traveled to Montenegro for her rookie photoshoot, after which she was named 2022’s co-Rookie of the Year.

The Virginia native, who now lives in Los Angeles with her fiancé and puppy, returned to the fold this year, after being captured by James Macari in the Dominican Republic.

“The shoot is something you can’t really put into words. I cried when I got home just because it’s something you dream about for so many years, and then you realize it’s actually happening, and it’s indescribable. The thrill of the entire shoot day keeps your adrenaline high for days, but at the same time, I think people need to know it’s hard work,” Austin recalled about her rookie feature. “As a [Division I] athlete... I have always done everything I possibly can, across all of my platforms, to empower women to be their true, authentic selves. I’ve always championed that strong is sexy. I can’t wait to build a community with SI Swimsuit.”
