5 of the Most Stunning Photos of Chrissy Teigen on the Cook Islands

The model made an impression during her 2014 cover photoshoot.

Chrissy Teigen was no stranger to SI Swimsuit when she graced the cover of the issue in 2014. It was actually her fifth consecutive feature in the annual magazine, but her first time to take the cover spot. 

Like all of her photoshoots, her fifth brand feature took her to the most idyllic tropical location. She posed for pics in front of photographer James Macari’s lens on the Cook Islands in the South Pacific. Teigen was just as awed by the natural beauty of the location then as we are today. “It's the most beautiful place on the planet,” she remarked while on set.

Taking part in the issue for the fifth time meant a lot to the model. It was a job that, according to her, just got easier with time.

“Year five. I think it just gets easier as you go along. It always helps when you have such a relationship with the crew,” she explained of her experience. “It’s kind of unbelievable I have to actually think about it sometimes, ‘Chrissy you’re in [the] Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition, that’s kind of insane.’”

One of her favorite parts of her fifth consecutive feature, though, was posing for a handful of photos alongside Nina Agdal and Lily Aldridge, who took the annual cover alongside Teigen. “It just all came together so nicely,” she said of the trio and their complementary looks.

And while we love the group photos, too (and particularly the cover snap), we really can’t get enough of her solo snapshots on the Cook Islands. Here are a few of our favorites.
