Happy birthday to our favorite NCAA gymnast! LSU athlete Olivia Dunne, who made her SI Swimsuit debut earlier this year, turns 21 today. In honor of the milestone, we’re throwing it back to some of our favorite photos from her feature with Ben Watts in Puerto Rico.

Dunne, who is the highest-paid female college athlete in the country, is making a name for herself on social media. The New Jersey native has grown her platform to more than 12 million followers across Instagram and TikTok, and has racked up a seven figure salary as a result of numerous NIL brand deals and sponsorships. She first stepped foot on a gymnasium floor at the age of 3 and hasn’t looked back since.

In July, Dunne launched The Livvy Fund to leverage her own network while educating and inspiring fellow female athletes at LSU to pursue branding deals of their own.

“When people look at my Sports Illustrated photos, I want them to take away that you can have the best of both worlds—and you can be a strong independent woman while doing it all. You can be an athlete, you can be in school and you can do modeling.” she said. “There’s a lot of young girls that look up to me and I feel like a lot of young girls also follow Sports Illustrated. So both of our brands align because we want to inspire the younger generation.”

Dunne recently began her senior year at LSU and will soon embark on her final competition season as a college athlete. She was also just named to Forbes’s Top Creators 2023 list.
