9 Striking Photos of Robin Holzken From Her SI Swim Debut in the Bahamas

The three-time brand model brought energy and spunk to her rookie photoshoot.

Dutch model Robin Holzken began modeling when she was only 16-years-old. So, by the time she made it to the set of her 2018 SI Swimsuit debut in the Bahamas, she was 21 and already seasoned in the industry. The three-time SI Swimsuit model brought her A game to that first photoshoot with the issue, absolutely stunning in a series of bright, neon bikinis and one-pieces.

She attributed her success on set, in part, to the vibrance of her swimwear. “The swimsuits for the location were all so fun,” she said while on set. “Everything was so colorful, which was so nice, too, especially with the blue water and the sand—it just mixed perfect. I thought they were really beautiful so maybe that’s the way I felt and then that’s why it went so fluidly.”

As for her history in the industry, the Holland native quickly fell in love with modeling. “Growing up, I would be really insecure about myself, [but] the moment I stepped in front of a camera, I felt like a different person,” she explained of her early appreciation of the job. “I wasn’t insecure anymore.”

She certainly showed up confident and collected on set in the Bahamas, but Holzken also credited her photographer, Ben Watts, for boosting the atmosphere on set. “I love the way that Ben is energetic because I think it gives such a different vibe to the pictures,” she said.
