Angel Reese Made a Statement During Her SI Swimsuit Photo Shoot in California

In what was already an impressive year, she added to her list of accomplishments in Los Angeles.

The spring of 2023 was eventful for LSU basketball player Angel Reese. In April, she secured a national championship title alongside her fellow Tigers teammates, making for an incredible ending to an already wonderful season for the standout athlete.

Then, in May, the athlete officially joined the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit family. Alongside fellow LSU athlete Olivia Dunne, the 21-year-old became one of the many athletes to have graced the pages of the annual issue. For her appearance, she traveled to Los Angeles with photographer Yu Tsai and the rest of the SI Swimsuit family. There, she posed in a series of vibrant swimsuits for her debut in the issue, including an aptly-colored sparkly purple bikini—the same shade as her team uniform.

Now, Reese is back in a similar position that she was in last year. The Tigers are yet again ranked in the AP Top 25 Basketball Poll heading into post-season play. Reese is in her senior season and—no doubt—has hopes to defend her team’s national championship title and add to her growing list of career accolades.

Moreover, with the end of the season looming, she has a big decision to make: return to the Tigers lineup for one more year or declare for the WNBA draft. Regardless of her decision, we know she’ll thrive—just as she did when she took to the set of her colorful SI Swimsuit photo shoot.
