Model Anne de Paula first posed for the SI Swimsuit Issue in 2017, when she was a finalist in the brand’s Model Search. After participating in a stunning bodypaint photo shoot in Anguilla with Josie Clough and makeup artist Joanne Gair, de Paula was declared the winner of the contest.

The Brazilian beauty returned to the fold the following year as a rookie, when she traveled to Nevis, and was again photographed by Clough. Her third and fourth consecutive SI Swimsuit features took place in Kenya and the Dominican Republic, and were captured by Yu Tsai and Kate Powers, respectively.

While de Paula has been modeling since she was a teenager, she previously told SI Swimsuit that she wasn’t always certain it was the career path the would pursue professionally. “I really wanted to be a doctor because all of my family works with health,” she stated in 2020. “I was a tomboy … I used to play soccer on the team of my city. I used to be a goalkeeper and that was my number one thing.”

We’re so glad de Paula’s journey led her to the SI Swimsuit Issue, which resulted in four different stunning features in as many consecutive magazines. While we’d have a difficult time picking a favorite location, we’re always drawn back to de Paula’s photos from her time in the Dominican Republic. Below, you’ll find just a few of our favorites, which were captured by Powers.
