Australian Model Robyn Lawley Is Dazzling in These 6 SI Swim Pics in Mexico

She posed for the annual magazine four years in a row, between 2015 and ’18.

Robyn Lawley first posed for the SI Swimsuit Issue in 2015, when she traveled to Wyoming for a photoshoot in the great outdoors with James Macari. Afterward, the Australian model returned to the fold each year through ’18. Her travels with the brand took her to Malta, Mexico and New York.

Throughout her time in the industry, the 34-year-old has pushed back against labels in favor of size inclusivity in the modeling world. “I wish you saw curvy girls in every catalogue and every show,” she told The Cut in 2016. “There’s never really been plus-size girls in beauty. We’ve never seen it.”

That same year, Ashley Graham landed the cover of the SI Swimsuit Issue as a rookie, and became the publication’s first plus-size cover model in its history.

In addition to her work as a model, Lawley uses her Instagram platform to share tasty vegan recipes, from main courses to snacks to desserts. She’s also the host of her own podcast, Every Body With Robyn Lawley, in which she discusses beauty standards, body shaming and more.

While we adore all four of Lawley’s SI Swimsuit photoshoots, the photographs captured in Mexico by Ruven Afanador depict a colorful paradise that we constantly wish to return to. Below are a few of our favorite snaps from the feature six years ago.
