Hunter McGrady Stuns in These 6 Solid-Colored Swimsuits in Bali

The five-time SI Swimsuit star posed for the 2020 issue in Indonesia.

When Hunter McGrady first joined the SI Swimsuit family, she traveled to Anguilla for a bodypaint feature with photographer Josie Clough and makeup artist Joanne Gair as part of the brand’s 2017 model search program. Since then, she’s participated in a feature in a Brooklyn studio and traveled to Costa Rica, Bali and Belize with the magazine.

The Southern California native has also appeared on the cover of Health magazine and is the creator of All Worthy, an inclusive fashion line for QVC. McGrady, 30, is a proud mom of two who also cohosts a podcast, Model Citizen, alongside her sister, Michaela McGrady.

The five-time SI Swimsuit star uses her platform to promote inclusivity in the fashion industry, and famously turned down more than two-dozen New York Fashion Week gigs due to a lack of diversity on the runway.

“I want women to feel valued and validated and accepted and enjoy this one very precious, precious life that we have without having to spend every waking moment being told that they have to change themselves,” McGrady previously told SI Swimsuit. “And I wanna do it together. I want us all to come together and be the change that this world needs.”

It’s no wonder that her personal brand aligns so well with SI Swimsuit’s mission. While we couldn’t pick a favorite of McGrady’s features, we regularly find ourselves going back to her 2020 photoshoot in Bali, which adopted a stark black-and-white swimwear aesthetic.
