A legend of the SI Swimsuit brand, Kate Upton first posed for the magazine in 2011, when her swimsuit photo shoot in the Philippines and a body paint feature in a New York studio earned her Rookie of the Year honors.

The Michigan native has returned to the fold on numerous occasions since, and has graced the cover of the annual SI Swimsuit Issue three times. First in 2012 after her photo shoot in Australia, and again in 2013 and ’17, following her features in Antarctica and Fiji, respectively.

“It’s such a great feeling, because the brand represents, to me, confident, beautiful, sexy women,” Upton said at the time of her third cover feature with the brand. “For Sports Illustrated to be just as passionate as I am to embrace all body types and all different people and all different types of women is really special to me and one of the reasons I’m so excited to be part of this issue.”

The mom of one, who shares daughter Genevieve with MLB star Justin Verlander, is also a co-owner of Vosa Spirits and an actress. She’s been featured in films like The Other Woman and The Layover, and has worked with notable fashion brands like Donna Karan and Tory Burch.

Today, we’re throwing it back to Upton’s most recent SI Swimsuit feature, which took place in Aruba in 2018. Below are a few of our favorite pics from the stunning photo shoot, captured by Yu Tsai.
