Katie Austin’s Third SI Swim Feature Was All Vibrant Bikinis and Bright Sand Beaches

Her appearances in the annual issue never disappoint.

Katie Austin has now been featured in the annual SI Swimsuit Issue for three years running. The California-based fitness instructor first joined the brand as a part of the annual Swim Search in 2021, earning a feature as one of the 13 finalists for the open casting call.

Austin was then declared co-winner of the 2021 Swim Search alongside Christen Harper, but that wasn’t the end of her accolades where SI Swimsuit is concerned. The following year, she made her official rookie appearance in the 2022 issue. The beautiful photos that she posed for in Montenegro again earned her and Harper a share of the same award: co-Rookie of the Year.

So, when she returned to the issue for the third consecutive year in 2023, we were expecting nothing short of greatness. And, on the beaches of the Dominican Republic, the former Division I athlete delivered—just as we expected her to. 

It was more than just a thrilling moment for us, though. Austin herself was overjoyed to be on the set of her third photo shoot—and she made it known, too. “ON SET WITH @si_swimsuit BABY!!!” she wrote in an Instagram post early last year. “Year 3 and it’s still a pinch me moment. A moment for life!! So so grateful to be here in the Dominican Republic truly living my DREAM🥹 can’t wait to share more of my 2023 with you all❤️.”
