Lindsey Vonn’s 8 Best SI Swim Photos in Mexico
Retired alpine skier Lindsey Vonn is a four-time World Cup champion and a three-time Olympic medalist: she earned a gold medal in the 2010 Vancouver Games, as well as one bronze. Eight years later, she received her second bronze medal in PyeongChang.
Vonn retired from her sport in 2019, but the three-time SI Swimsuit model hasn’t slowed down much. Earlier this year, she became the first woman to ski the Streif in Kitzbühel, Austria, and the first person to ever take on the challenging downhill course at night.
The 38-year-old athlete first stepped in front of the SI Swimsuit lens in 2010, when she posed for Warwick Saint in Whistler, Canada. She returned to the fold six years later for a unique bodypaint feature in Petit Saint Vincent, and worked with photographer Frederic Pinet and makeup artist Joanne Gair. Her most recent feature with the magazine was in ’19, when Vonn traveled to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, to work with Walter Chin.
In addition to excelling in her own sport, Vonn always goes out of her way to uplift other women. When a Twitter detractor recently tried to tear down Megan Rapinoe after the USWNT’s World Cup exit, Vonn stood up for her and asked for respect.
