For more than ten years now, Michelle Jenneke has proven that she has what it takes to win on the track. She is an Olympic hurdler, who has competed in several World Championships and even the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

But a little over a decade ago, she also proved that she has what it takes to model, too. The athlete took the pages of the SI Swimsuit Issue in 2013, stunning in a series of photos captured by James Macari in Las Vegas.

While there, she talked about her passion for her sport—and left us feeling inspired. “I like the challenge of hurdling, it’s a little more technical than just straight sprinting,” she told the SI Swimsuit team at the time. “It’s just something that I feel I was born to do.”

But she likewise proved that she could make an impression on more than just the track. Jenneke brought her characteristic good energy and her viral celebratory dance to the set of her photo shoot. Macari even managed to get a snap of her in the midst of doing her dance, which you’ll find pictured below.

“I was absolutely amazed when I found out that Sports Illustrated wanted to shoot me because they’re such a big name and it’s just such an amazing experience,” she said of the feature. “I loved all the suits there are so many that I’d love to take home with me.”

Needless to say, she was a lovely addition to the SI Swimsuit family, bringing great energy and leaving us with fantastic photos. Here are a few of our favorite snaps.
