Summer of Swim 2016: Get ready for the HOTTEST summer EVER!

Just when you thought this summer couldn't get any hotter, the ladies of SI Swimsuit are here to turn up the heat!

For only the second time ever, SI Swimsuit is celebrating the season with some super sexy Summer of Swim content. But that's only the beginning!

In partnership with Brooklyn Sports and Entertainment, Sports Illustrated is producing the first-ever Summer of Swim Music & Fan Festival on the world famous Coney Island Boardwalk on Sunday, August 28th. The festival will serve as the anchor to a summer full of events, never-before-seen content, and thrilling, live social media experiences for our loyal and dedicated fans! The evening will culminate with a special concert at the new Amphitheater at the Coney Island Boardwalk, in conjunction with Live Nation. Talent and ticket information for the concert and special VIP packages to the daytime activities will be announced shortly.

"Summer of Swim will take our franchise to a completely new level and open up this exclusive world to all of our fans in entirely new ways,” said SI Swimsuit Editor MJ Day.

Scheduled to open July 1, the Amphitheater at Coney Island Boardwalk is a 5,000-seat covered open-air venue, the first of its kind in the Tri-State area. Live Nation is operating, booking and promoting the venue, while BSE, the enterprise behind Barclays Center, is selling the naming rights and sponsorships, as well as supporting the programming of the beachfront complex.

“The new Amphitheater at Coney Island Boardwalk and the Swimsuit Summer Music & Fan Festival are emblematic of summer fun in the city and we are thrilled to bring them together,” said Brett Yormark, CEO of Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment. “As we move ahead, we anticipate aligning BSE venues with Time Inc. properties to create unique and original live content for the greater New York City area.”

The festival will give fans the opportunity to enjoy live performances, take part in interactive experiences, and best of all, mix and mingle with the gorgeous ladies of SI Swimsuit. Talk about the BEST. SUMMER. EVER.

As if that weren't enough, we're getting the party started with a few out-of-this-world videos from an exclusive shoot at the One Hotel in South Beach. And you can rest assured that when we get 2016 SI Swimsuit cover model Hailey Clauson and fellow bombshells Hannah Ferguson, Bo Krsmanovic and Erin Heatherton together, the results are going to be as epic as you'd think.

Even we're not sure how it's possible, but that's still not all! Stay tuned this summer for the announcement of our highly-anticipated Rookie of the Year and Model Search contest winners; new virtual reality content on the SI Swimsuit App; and a first-ever live look-in at a SI Swimsuit shoot, as Hailey Clauson takes her place as the Queen Mermaid of the Coney Island Mermaid Parade.

SI will also premiere Swim Unfiltered, a new video series that delivers a real world look at the day-to-day lives of the models. For the series, SI Swimsuit models are opening their doors in unprecedented fashion allowing viewers to go behind the scenes to the red carpets, the workouts, the homes of their favorite models.
