Throwback Thursday: Veronica Varekova

A very happy birthday to Veronica Varekova. The Czech model, who appeared in eight SI Swimsuit issues (1992-2002, 2004-07), turned 36 on Wednesday and SwimDaily is celebrating by making her the subject of today's Throwback Thursday. In this video, Verekova poses with another Czech stunner, Petra Nemcova, for a photo shoot in Honduras with the legendary Walter Iooss Jr., who compares her ability to pose on a rock to that of a squid. Yes, that is a compliment. In addition to SI, Verekova has modeled for Victoria's Secret, Guess, Chanel, Gap and a host of other top companies. But she is best known for her work in SI Swimsuit, which as the gallery below demonstrates, was quite exquisite.
