Maye Musk

With a modeling career spanning over 50 years, Maye Musk became the oldest cover model in SI Swimsuit history when she graced the front of the 2022 issue at age 74. Though that title was taken by Martha Stewart, 81 in 2023, Musk established herself in brand history with her incredible debut. She began building her career at just 15 years old. She was a finalist in the 1969 Miss South Africa beauty competition before going on to appear in Revlon ads, magazines like Woman’s Day and Vogue, and even a Beyoncé video.

In 2017, Maye continued to smash age stereotypes as she became CoverGirl’s oldest spokesmodel at age 69, as well as a Dior Beauty ambassador. However, Musk’s influence is not just limited to the fashion industry. The model holds two master’s degrees—in dietetics and in nutritional science—is a registered dietitian and a best-selling author, having released her memoir, A Woman Makes a Plan, in 2019.
