Normani is a New Orleans and Texas-raised singer-songwriter whose career initially skyrocketed as a member of Fifth Harmony. In 2018, she released her first single, “Love Lies,” featuring Khalid, which went quintuple-platinum. She followed up the feat that same year with a quadruple-platinum record, “Dancing With A Stranger,” alongside Sam Smith. 


Normani released her first solo single, “Motivation,” in 2019, before collaborating with Megan Thee Stallion on “Diamonds” and Cardi B on “Wild Side” in 2020 and 2021, respectively. In 2024, she released her debut album, Dopamine, and in 2025, she announced her engagement to NFL wide receiver DK Metcalf.


The artist has also earned many accolades over the course of her career, including six BMI Awards, two iHeartRadio Music Awards, one MTV Video Music Award, one Variety Hitmaker Award and one Soul Train Music Award. In addition, she is a Diversity Ambassador for The Cybersmile Foundation and a Global Ambassador for the American Cancer Society.
