Danica Patrick Brings Chic Fashion to the Racetrack in Pale Blue Textured Mini and Boots

The retired race car driver is redefining sporty chic in her recent NASCAR appearances.

All of the athletes who have graced the pages of the SI Swimsuit Issue have proven their knack for both sports and fashion in one. But we’ve never seen anyone combine both attributes in such a succinct and glamorous way quite like Danica Patrick did on the sidelines of the racetrack this racing season.

She is the most successful woman in the history of American car racing, with a proven and impressive record on the racetrack. But she is likewise stylish, and, now that she has retired from professional driving, is proving as much while working as a sidelines reporter for NASCAR events.

The 41-year-old two-time SI Swimsuit model took to a race this past weekend in a light blue textured mini dress with chic gold button detailing. She paired the sweet mini with cream-colored boots, a simple silver chain and a series of matching bracelets.

“It’s getting more and more competitive at the front!!!! Love it! Only 4 more races in the season! 🏎️ 🏁,” she captioned the carousel, which included a handful of snaps of Patrick working on the sidelines of the racetrack. She styled her blue mini and boots with a pair of tortoise shell sunglasses—the definition of sporty chic.

She may be retired from her illustrious full-time racing career—a decision she made in 2017—but she can’t be kept from the racetrack. Patrick has been taking on her broadcasting duties with her good energy—and in style, too.
