5 Idyllic Photos of the Stunning Lauren Mellor in St. Lucia

The South African model made her SI Swimsuit debut in 2014 in the Caribbean nation.

Ten years prior to her 2014 SI Swimsuit debut in St. Lucia, South African model Lauren Mellor was at a mall with her mom when she was approached and asked if she wanted to sign with a modeling agency. Though modeling had never been her plan, posing for her first set of photos made her realize “how much [she] really enjoyed it,” she said while on set in the Caribbean.

Mellor’s willingness to try modeling out paid off. She has been featured in magazines such as Marie Claire and Cosmopolitan in addition to her SI Swimsuit feature. 

Her time in St. Lucia resulted in a handful of wonderful and idyllic photos. And while we’re not sure we could pick a favorite, Mellor could. She said that the best snapshot of the day was her first: the photo in which she leapt into the air in a shimmery gold bikini. “The pose and the jump and the pointed toes... I really do look like an athletic ballerina,” she said. “So, I love it.”

While that image may have been her favorite, we think all of the photos are worth another look. Below are some of our top picks from the day, including Mellor’s personal fave.
