While most people know Genie Bouchard for her career as a professional athlete, around here, we also appreciate the 30-year-old Canadian for her work as a two-time SI Swimsuit model.

Bouchard first appeared in the fold in 2017, after traveling to Turks and Caicos. While in the tropics, she posed for photographer Emmanuelle Hauguel in a series of bright and beautiful neon swimsuits. When she returned to the SI Swimsuit Issue for her sophomore feature the following year, the tennis pro found herself in Aruba, where she worked with James Macari. Her second brand photo shoot embraced a noticeably darker color palette, as Bouchard donned all-black swimwear for her spread.

The 2014 Wimbledon runner-up continues to play tennis professionally today, and is also making a name for herself in the world of pickleball. So far this year, she’s competed in the Women’s Tennis Classic at the Dallas Open, where she faced off against former World No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki.

In addition to nailing her poses on the SI Swimsuit set and continuing to pursue her racket sport-related ambitions, Bouchard is often complimentary of fellow pro athletes.

“I’ve always loved Roger Federer,” she told The Globe and Mail last summer. “ ... He gives you the time of day, like you’re as important and as busy as he is. I remember him stopping to talk to me and my mom, and not rushing the conversation, not being distracted, eye contact, pleasant conversation, making you feel like you’re the only person in the room.”

Below are a few of our favorite photos from Bouchard’s SI Swimsuit feature in Turks and Caicos.
