After an absolutely breathtaking photoshoot in Dominica for the 2023 SI Swimsuit Issue, Nicole Williams English has been named Rookie of the Year!

“We are so excited to announce Nicole Williams English as the 2023 Rookie of the Year! Her journey exemplifies the power of passion, resilience and a relentless pursuit of dreams that has captivated the world including the entire SI Swimsuit team!” editor in chief MJ Day said of the choice. “From announcing her pregnancy on our runway at Miami Swim Week, shooting with us seven months pregnant and then again with sweet baby India, followed by the launch of her swim line collab Nia Lynn x SI Swimsuit (check it out here), Nicole is a true testament to dedication, professionalism and what it means to be a model, mother and mogul. We couldn’t be more proud to have her be a part of the Swimsuit family.”

While on location in the Caribbean with photographer Yu Tsai, Williams English highlighted her baby bump in a number of stunning swimwear looks. From bikinis to gauzy dresses, the 40-year-old entrepreneur’s feature was inspired by Mother Nature herself, and Williams English looked totally ethereal.

“The fact that I’m actually a rookie and shooting while pregnant, it’s just really cool to know that my baby girl is going through this with me and that one day she’s gonna look back and see all these photos and know that she was shooting for SI with mama,” Williams English said of sharing the special experience with her daughter, whom she and her husband, Larry English, welcomed on Jan. 13.
