Actress and Model Damaris Lewis Stuns in These 5 Photos From California

In her second of three consecutive SI Swimsuit photoshoots, the model posed before the idyllic mountain ranges out west.

American model and actress Damaris Lewis first set foot on an SI Swimsuit set in 2009. She took a trip to Cappadocia, Turkey, for that rookie feature and made a big enough impression to earn another spot in the pages of the issue the following year. Her second brand photoshoot was much closer to her home of New York, bringing her to the naturally beautiful desert city of Palm Springs, Calif.

While there, the model posed in a series of the cutest muted string bikinis. The snaps, taken by photographer Walter Chin, featured her posing on top of, in front of and around a series of vibrantly painted airplanes, which sat on the tarmac in front of a stunning mountainous backdrop.

Like the first, her second feature was a statement-maker, earning her a third consecutive spot in the annual issue. The following year she traveled to Sentosa Island, Singapore, which was her most recent brand feature to date. 

These days, the 33-year-old can mostly be found in a series of TV shows and films, including a recurring role as Blackfire on the DC series Titan. Other notable acting roles include that of Jazmine Wintour on the FX series Pose.

Though her acting roles and all of her SI Swimsuit appearances have been epic, today we’re particularly concerned with her trip out west to the California desert. Here are just a few of our favorite snapshots from the aviation-inspired feature.
