Alana Blanchard’s Backless One-Piece Makes for One Glamorous Surfing Outfit

The athlete put her skills and style on display in her latest Instagram post.

Alana Blanchard may not be pursuing professional surfing in the same way she was once, but that doesn’t mean she’s put away her board entirely. In fact, that’s far from the case for the 33-year-old. Sure, some of her trips to the beach look a little different these days—accompanied by her two sons and her partner, fellow pro surfer Jack Freestone, rather than alone with her board—but she’s still making time for hitting the waves. And, given the impressive reel she just shared to her Instagram, we’re glad she is.

Dressed in a stunning navy blue backless one-piece, Blanchard took to the waves on her orange surf board for an afternoon session. And she put her continued talent on the waves on display. The clip included drone footage of the athlete paddling out to the breakers, as well as a POV from the beach of her carving technique.

“Been surfing a lot🥰,” she captioned the reel.

“Ripping 🙌,” the official account of Surfline, which provides a network of surf cams and forecasts, remarked of her skill.

“there she is 🔥🔥🔥,” a friend of the athlete’s wrote.

“Power n style 🥊,” another follower added.

“i LOVE this swimsuit!!! 💗✨,” one gushed of her look for the afternoon session.

They’re all completely right. Blanchard does have both impressive skills and incredible style when it comes to swimwear. We hope that the year ahead brings more opportunities for her to put both on display.
