Bo Krsmanovic was photographed by Yu Tsai on the islands of Tahiti.

Bo Krsmanovic’s introduction to the modeling world came when she was just 14. The Serbian native had an older sister working as a fashion designer, and so she came into contact with the fashion modeling world by happenstance. Her first gig came in the form of a trip to Athens Fashion Week at 15, setting her up for what has been a successful career.

Just about 10 years after she got her start in the industry, the model accepted a spot within the pages of the 2016 SI Swimsuit Issue. Krsmanovic traveled to the bright beaches and crystal clear waters of Tahiti for her debut, posing for stunning photos taken by photographer Yu Tsai.

Upon arriving on set for her first SI Swimsuit feature, the model couldn’t help but note the beauty of the tropical destination. “It looks like a painting,” she said during her photo shoot. “It’s unreal.”

The opportunity was a thrilling one for the young model, who said that she had “never been more excited in [her] life,” than she was on the set of her first feature with the magazine.

These days, the 31-year-old continues to model, having since graced the pages of Elle and Harper’s Bazaar Serbia. Likewise, she has starred in a handful of brand campaigns for GUESS, Intimissimi and others.

Krsmanovic is certainly an impressive force in the industry. Here are a few of the photos from her time on Tahiti that prove just that.
