There might be nothing better than celebrating your birthday in an idyllic tropical location. Especially when that birthday is a milestone. Such is the case for American supermodel Christie Brinkley. You may not know it, but the 10-time Sports Illustrated Swimsuit legend turns 70 today—and, of course, she’s doing it in style.

Though she seemingly just got back from a tropical New Year’s vacation in Parrot Cay with family and friends, she has returned to the tropics with two of her kids, Sailor Brinkley Cook and Jack Brinkley Cook, to celebrate her big day.

Thus far, the trip has included stunning sunsets on the beach, afternoons on the boat and a snorkeling adventure for the Michigan native. Ahead of her birthday, she shared a carousel to her Instagram featuring highlights from an afternoon on the ocean. She wore a deep blue swimsuit and a straw hat for the excursion.

“I must be entering my ‘Golden Years’ because suddenly everything looks gold!” she wrote in the caption, referencing the beautiful golden sunset. “(I wonder if they added the ‘G’ to be polite? Lol! ) anyway Here’s to living each day to the fullest!”

“You are redefining age!” one follower exclaimed in the comments. “Happy birthday to the best ‘Super Role Model’!!!!!”

Brinkley is definitely embracing her 70th year with the same energy and joy characteristic of her long life and career. We wish her all the best in this new year ahead.
