Professional tennis player Anna Kournikova made her SI Swimsuit debut in 2004 in Puerto Rico, just one year after retiring from the sport she began when she was just 14-years-old. The model, who was born in Moscow, Russia, competed in the Atlanta 1996 Summer Olympics and became a two-time Grand Slam doubles champion throughout her career.

Sports Illustrated Swimsuit is obviously like the most amazing magazine and I read it every year,” she gushed at the time of her shoot. “Just amazing shots and very artistic, and so it was a great opportunity for me, too. It’s sports and then at the same time, it has beauty and fashion. I haven’t worked with [photographer] Tiziano [Magni] before, but he’s just made me feel really comfortable. We so far have been agreeing on everything, so that’s great.”

The 42-year-old also served a short stint as a TV personality and she now lives in Miami with her three kids, Lucy, Nicholas and Mary, who she shares with her partner, famous singer Enrique Iglesias. The two met on set of a music video in 2001 and made their first red carpet debut together at the MTV Video Music Awards in ’02. She regularly shares pictures of her children on social media. Though the couple never got married, despite un-confirmed rumors, the former World. No. 8 has added “Iglesias” to her last name on Instagram.
