Georgia Gibbs Dons High-Waisted String Bikini Bottoms and Off-the-Shoulder Top for a Beach Sunrise

The model is making us think hanging beachside in Florida for the fall and winter is not such a bad place to be.

Georgia Gibbs smiles over her shoulder in a black off-the-shoulder dress.

Georgia Gibbs.

It’s still beach weather for Georgia Gibbs, and she’s taking full advantage. The 2018 SI Swimsuit model may be an England native (who was raised in Australia), but she lives in Florida now, meaning fall and winters are much milder and still offer coveted opportunities for morning swims and afternoons on the sand.

Recognizing her unique opportunity, Gibbs hit the beach during sunrise for a recent photoshoot. In a carousel that the former Miss Universe Australia finalist shared to her Instagram on Oct. 18, she donned white high-waisted string bikini bottoms and a backless off-the-shoulder white crop top—what we might have called her summertime best only two months ago—and took to the sand. The frilly, textured top served as a perfectly sweet pairing for the white swimsuit bottoms. She accessorized with a simple pair of gold huggie earrings and a tan corduroy hat over her wet hair.

“It’s so comforting when a photographer wants to shoot you as just, you 💛✨ @35mmbydeb,” she captioned the stunning series, which captured Gibbs in all her natural beauty.

“Literally stunning 😍,” one follower gushed in the comment section.

“Because you’re such a natural beauty 😍😍,” another added.

Sunrise in autumn served as the perfect scene for Gibbs to flaunt her chic swimwear style while dancing around the beach. And, after not too much thought, we’re starting to think that Florida is where we want to be for the remainder of fall and winter, too.
