Meet the Model: Hannah Davis

First-year swimsuit model Hannah Davis has one of the more unique backgrounds SwimDaily has come across. Born and raised in St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands, Davis was a standout tennis star and almost pursued a professional career before she was spotted at the beach by a Ginny Edwards photographer at the age of 14. She was forced to choose - tennis or modeling. She went with the latter and has become one of the most popular swimsuit models in recent history. In addition to SI, Hannah has modeled for American Eagle, Avon, Bobbi Brown, Ralph Lauren, Victoria’s Secret, Jean Paul Gaultier and Levi’s and is best known for playing the “Genie” in DirecTV’s latest ad campaign.
