Former beauty pageant queen Jasmyn Wilkins made her SI Swimsuit debut in 2018, a handful of years into her professional modeling career. The Georgia native and daughter of former NBA player Gerald Wilkins traveled to Nevis in the Caribbean with photographer Josie Clough for her magazine appearance.

It was a great experience all around. The model stunned in a handful of bright swimsuits under the verdant green palms of the island paradise. Most importantly, it was a “dream come true” for Wilkins.

“My heart is so full today. Excited to share the first look at the @si_swimsuit edition as I’m en route to NYC to celebrate the launch,” she wrote in an Instagram post at the time. “This milestone in my career has been an absolute dream come true and I’ve worked so hard to get here. Also, MAJOR congratulations in order to the stunning cover model @danielle_herrington_ who is representing SI and especially all women of color so beautifully 💪🏾❤️ Thank you to my family, friends, agents and the entire Sports Illustrated team for believing in me.”

These days, she is signed with a modeling agency in New York and continues to pursue her passion, posing for various brand campaigns—and sharing the stunning outtakes on her social media channels along the way.

But today, we’re taking a look back at her 2018 SI Swimsuit appearance. Needless to say, Wilkins more than made the most of her moment on set. Here are a few of her stunning photos.
