Behind the Scenes: Kate Upton in Antarctica

Bikinis and Antarctica are two words that seldom go together, but when SI Swimsuit ambitiously decided to shoot its models on all seven continents, it soon became a reality. SI sent its 2012 cover girl Kate Upton to the frigid continent last December for its final shoot of 2012 and hoped for the best. "Antarctica was "the 'Hail Mary' pass of our year," swimsuit editor MJ Day told CNN in February. "It could have had a blizzard. Kate could have had shivering fits you could not shoot around. (Instead) we had six days of perfect weather." Like most swim shoots, the models and crew managed to sneak in some fun between shots. In this behind the scenes video, watch as Kate dances in the snow, the photo crew goes for a swim and a penguin named Hopper takes over as tour guide.
