Let's be honest here. Do we ever really need an excuse to put Kate Upton's SI Swimsuit photos back in your hands? We didn't think so.

But in case you'd still like a reason, we can't think of a better way to kick off summer than with a look back at one of the most epic body-paint spreads SI Swimsuit has ever seen. Titled "Wonders of the World," our body paint in 2013 was "inspired by five of our most memorable cover shoots," and the results were as sexy as you'd think.

Mimicking Daniela Pestova's steamy cover from 2000, Kate posed in little more than a painted-on necklace and bikini bottoms—and may we just say, that's one killer combination.

So as you gear up for the first fun-filled summer weekend of the year, we invite you to let Kate be your beach-body inspiration. (Or at the very least, this ought to serve as a more than entertaining way to pass the time this Friday afternoon!)
