Kate Upton is engaged and Justin Verlander is the luckiest man alive

The Met Gala is known for outrageous fashion and celeb extravagance but it's Kate Upton's ring finger that's all the talk. That's right -- Kate is officially off the market and engaged to longtime boyfriend Justin Verlander.

The Tigers pitcher popped the question in March but the two have kept the engagement a secret. “I’m really excited," Kate told E! as she walked the red carpet. "He asked me right before season started so we've been keeping it on the down low for quite a while."

We tip our hat to Justin because Kate has been looking hot, hot, hot as of late, thanks in part to her doughnut-assisted exercise routine (or the more grueling doughnut-free version). We wonder what the rest of the Met Gala has in store.
