Marquita Pring has redefined what it means to be a model. Since entering the industry at age 15, the Albany, N.Y., native has been unwavering in maintaining her curvaceous figure and embracing her natural hair. That command got her noticed in 2010 by IMG where she led a group of curve models, dubbed Alda Women, who wanted to flip the industry on its head. From there, demand for the 2020 SI Swimsuit rookie skyrocketed. She walked in Jean Paul Gaultier’s Spring 2011 runway collection in Paris, appeared in a spread for Vogue Italia, and was cast as the face of Levi Strauss & Co. for two consecutive seasons. Pring even appeared in a L'Oreal campaign championing diversity in size, age and skin tone proving her presence is a powerful one.
