Myla Dalbesio Makes the Case for Taking a Trip to Australia During Her SI Swim Photoshoot

The model’s third consecutive feature in the annual issue took place on the idyllic beaches of Kangaroo Island.

Myla Dalbesio already knew her way around the set of an SI Swimsuit photoshoot when she traveled to Kangaroo Island, South Australia in 2019. She had made her debut with the brand two years prior and had followed up that first photoshoot with a second in ’18.

So, it’s safe to say that year three was a walk in the park for the American model. Though she was used to the team and the experience, it did bring newfound emotions to the surface for the 36-year-old.

“Never felt better about myself, my mind and my body - this shoot was epic for me personally. Three years in, and I wasn’t expecting that I could continue to grow and change and advance, but I did - within myself!” she expressed in an Instagram post at the time of the issue’s release. “Thank you to the amazing team that made this possible, to @josie_clough for the BEST. PHOTOS. EVER. And thank you to all the amazing women at @si_swimsuit who love me and support me no matter what. So thrilled to be involved with this ever-evolving, growing, and changing company. Thank you for giving me a reason to prove to myself that I could achieve things I had never even dreamed I could before. YEAR THREE BABY! 🎉🥂💦.”

The model, photographer and creative director proceeded to pose for the magazine in 2020, making her fourth consecutive appearance in the annual issue. And while each and every photoshoot has been incredible in its own way, there was just something special about that trip Down Under. Here are a few of the lovely photos from the trip.
