Raine Michaels Turned Heads With These Stunning SI Swim Snaps in the Bahamas

Raine Michaels was photographed by Yu Tsai on Paradise Island, Bahamas.

In 2019, Raine Michaels took to the set of her SI Swimsuit feature as a part of the year’s model search. She traveled to Paradise Island, Bahamas alongside the other five finalists and photographer Yu Tsai. 

By all accounts, it was a proud moment for her. Her dad, American musician Bret Michaels, said as much in an interview with People at the time. “My oldest daughter Raine works hard and is a kind, humble soul,” he said. “She was really excited to be involved with Sports Illustrated. She is at college studying sports journalism and broadcasting. Raine knows all the girls worked hard to get there and is grateful to be in the top six!”

Raine herself echoed the sentiment in her social media posts following the stunning photo shoot. ”Feeling so much love and gratitude today. Thank you so much @mj_day and everyone else at @si_swimsuit for making my dreams come true!!” she wrote on Instagram following the feature. “What a magical opportunity to shoot with @yutsai88! So honored to be on the same pages as @camillekostek @tyrabanks @alexmorgan13 as well as the other STUNNING women including my #siswimsearch top 6 girls!”

We couldn’t have summed up the experience better ourselves. It was certainly a magical feature in every sense of the word—and, five years on, we’re still not over it.
