Sarah Brandner Stunned in Painted-on Swimwear During Her SI Swim Photo Shoot
German model Sarah Brandner was no novice when it came to modeling when she stepped on the set of her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit photo shoot in 2010. She headed to the New York studio experience with a wealth of experience and an excitement for the opportunity to join the SI Swimsuit family. There, she posed for a series of stunning photos taken by photographer Yu Tsai in a painted-on swimsuit inspired by Germany’s national soccer team.
More than 10 years later, the 35-year-old continues to pursue her first passion of modeling, starring in a variety of brand campaigns and the like.
“My profession as model and actress has taught me a lot about myself and the interaction with other people,” she has said of her career. “I am so grateful for all the experiences I was able to gather in the course of my different international obligations. It is one of my main principles to always approach every person with kindness and sincerity—a smile makes all the difference. On my travels I have learned that sometimes very little is enough to make you happy—I have many fond memories of these times.”
But she has also pursued another passion in the interim: nutrition. Becoming a nutritionist has sparked a passion for vegetarian and vegan fare, which she pursues in her cooking.
A decade later, we’re also still not over the fabulous photos Brandner posed for in 2010. Here are a few of our favorites.
