Soccer Pro Crystal Dunn Sizzled in These 5 String Looks in St. Lucia

The model and mom of one was featured in the 2019 SI Swimsuit Issue alongside fellow USWNT stars.

Soccer pro Crystal Dunn had an incredible year in 2019. The USWNT won the FIFA Women’s World Cup and she stunned during her SI Swimsuit debut. The 31-year-old traveled to St. Lucia with photographer Ben Watts and posed for the magazine alongside fellow soccer stars Alex Morgan, Megan Rapinoe and Abby Dahlkemper.

The same year, members of the USWNT filed a lawsuit against the United States Soccer Federation on the basis of gender discrimination in order to address the pay gap between men’s and women’s soccer.

“I think if I woke up one day and said, ‘I’m not treated the same as the men, I’m quitting,’ that is ultimately probably the worst thing that you could do,” Dunne said about how she stayed strong in the face of discouragement and continued to fight for equality. “What you can do is stay in this game and show the young ones who dream to be in this position that it’s hard work, but ultimately you have to fight for what you believe in and you have to stay with it and you can’t give up just because things are making you feel like you don’t belong in this sport. The longer we actually stay in this sport and push it further and further is going to prove that our future is so much brighter now because we’ve paved the way for them.”

Today, Dunn plays for the NWSL’s NJ/NY Gotham FC and is a mom to one son, Marcel, whom she welcomed with husband Pierre Soubrier in 2022.
