Yumi Nu Makes an Incredible Return, Poses for the 2023 SI Swimsuit Issue

Singer-songwriter and model Yumi Nu is back for her third consecutive appearance in the SI Swimsuit Issue. For the 2023 edition, the New Jersey native traveled to Dominica, an eastern Caribbean island, with photographer Amanda Pratt.

Shining light on the untouched landscape of the island, Pratt and Nu highlighted Mother Nature with contrasting swimsuits that made both the model and the backdrop stand out. Yu donned a purple swimsuit from Good American and paired it with bracelets by Eklexic Jewlery and rings by Spinelli Kilcollin and Eklexic Jewelry.

Nu made her debut appearance with SI Swimsuit in 2021, then landed the cover of the magazine the following year. Since then, she has expanded her professional endeavors in both music and fashion. Nu has released two EPs with indie and alt-R&B inspirations and became the first plus-size model featured on the cover of Vogue Japan. She is also paving the way in the industry for size inclusivity. Last year, Nu launched Blueki, an inclusive clothing company with a focus on timeless and high-quality items.
