5 Beautiful Photos of the Inspiring Ally Courtnall in Atlantic City

After trying out for the SI Swim Search, the former college athlete earned a feature in 2021.

The 2021 Swim Search brought a group of 12 impressive finalists to the beaches of Atlantic City for a vibrant photoshoot. Among the group was former college athlete Ally Courtnall, who competed in both soccer and track at UCLA.

After trying out for the brand’s open casting call, the athlete earned her spot two years ago, and was overjoyed by the prospect of her feature. As someone passionate about both sports and modeling, working with the brand made sense. For that reason, “Sports Illustrated has always just been the dream,” Courtnall said. “They changed the modeling game big time because they made it more about the person than the model.”

Her excitement about the feature was also a result of a desire “to talk about mental health” and “normalize the conversation” around related topics, she explained prior to the photoshoot.

In addition to being a force on the field—having earned Most Outstanding Defensive Player honors during UCLA’s women’s soccer NCAA championship win in 2013—the now mom of one was likewise a force to be reckoned with on the beaches. She brought strength and beauty to the coast of New Jersey.

That strength and beauty resulted in a series of absolutely stunning photos. Below are a few of our favorites from the day.
