It’s been an incredible year for Angel Reese. The LSU basketball star forward helped lead the Tigers to the school’s first NCAA women’s basketball championship in April, where she was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Final Four.

The Baltimore native made her SI Swimsuit debut a month later with the publication of the 2023 issue. Reese traveled to Los Angeles for her feature, where she was photographed by Yu Tsai in a number of playful swimsuits that were meant to match the bold energy of the model and the location itself.

“I had on thong bathing suits and I didn’t think I was going to be comfortable, but [everyone] made me feel really comfortable,” Reese told SI Swimsuit of the experience. “I work out a lot. I embrace my body and who I am and every mark on my body. I probably feel the sexiest in a bathing suit.”

Since her feature, the athlete celebrated her 21st birthday and has continued to accumulate NIL brand deals. The Bayou Barbie recently partnered with Reebok and is currently among On3’s Top 10 college athletes based on NIL valuation.

The LSU Tigers played an exhibition game against East Texas Baptist last night, and in honor of Reese getting back on the court for the season, we’re throwing it back to a few of our favorite SI Swimsuit snaps, below.
