The quick trip made for the meaningful kind of day that the model “cherishes.”

Among the many things to look forward to at the start of the school year, SI Swimsuit has teamed up with the Big 12 to bring the “Be You Women’s Empowerment Series” sponsored by Maybelline to select campuses throughout the conference. On Sept. 28, SI Swimsuit models Camille Kostek and Olivia Ponton headed to the University of Central Florida for the third of four installments in the series.

While the events have been meaningful opportunities for Big 12 students, they have been likewise significant for the SI Swim team and the models who have participated. Kostek herself took to Instagram on Oct. 7 to share a recap from the quick trip, including a series of photos with Ponton and UCF students as well as her sweet reflections.

“These are the kinds of days I cherish in my career,” the 31-year-old model wrote in the caption. “Connecting with you in real life, creating conversations around our mental health, sharing advice and learning from my peers on the panel, dancing, hugging, laughing, crying and being present. Shoutout to UCF and @si_swimsuit @big12conference @maybelline @allstate for putting together a beautiful setup for a beautiful day. It was my absolute pleasure to speak on the BE YOU panel 🎤❤️.”

For the models, it was an important opportunity to talk women empowerment and foster important conversations on college campuses across the country. We only hope that it was as impactful for the students as it was for our team at SI Swim.
